PeaceOfNoise

1.
I keep searching for a known unknown Among the ashes that I call my home Have a heart before it turns to stone You say you will never leave me alone Yellow fields and a pale blue day All you notice are the black and grey When we’re together we are on our own But you say you’ll never leave me alone Watching shadows eat the world inside the shell Feel your presence in the gravity well Loss of future in/and the long drive home You said you‘d never leave me alone
2.
Sing me lies Close my eyes Under night It’s alright The wolf is at the door The cub is in the cave The hunter’s on the path To an unknown grave The bird is on the land but The flag is on the sea Buried in the sand A beacon now to be
3.
if only 02:55
If only your vision were clear then I would not be here you would not let me you would forget me You would reject me you would infect me
4.
the day of 03:35
Sunny Monday Furrowed brows Dreaming awake Streaks of fire coming through the clouds Light up the day Lifted on A breath of gray Sound and silence Burst around Floating skyward Drifting through the pieces of the town Light up the day Lifted on A breath of gray The day of The day of love
5.
Mind the oars, boys Hide your heart Their songs are just noise Tear you apart Don’t believe the signals you receive They’ll pull the heart right off of your sleeve And drag you down Hard to ignore the plight and the pleas They come to the shore and fall to their knees And call out loud: ‘Oumuamua - Take us with you ‘Oumuamua - Come and save us ‘Oumuamua - We lit a fuse ‘Oumuamua - To erase us / We’ll sing your praises
6.
red forest 03:16
Figures in the forest Singing under breath, Needles to the red Left right left It’s flowing in the trees Sloughing off rust It’s caught in the Dust into blood into us Riding (on) the wind Molded little men Followed them home Boiling within Fingers in the porridge Cadence in clicks Every step heavier Further in the mix
7.
I know you thought this would never affect you Now you’re caught and they’ve come to collect you So distraught, so just let me let you Gather your thoughts before they come to get you
8.
call on 05:04
Hide the kids furl the flags Tear them all into rags Stop the flow Keep a limb A tourniquet And a hymn Would it be too much, To ask you to go away? Call on a higher power, or Call on the firepower Either way The result is the same
9.
I’ve been thinking ‘bout a lot of things lately Tired of watching all of my friends die I might have done a couple things for you to hate me But I think I still deserve a reason why Can’t you see I’m in a way you can’t conceive Can’t you see: in a way, I’m in the way Don’t you grieve about conceptions of deceit Don’t you fret about the people in the way Every body has a place Anybody, any race Everybody is disgraced Every body is a waste I’d burn a forest down just to find a new leaf I’d turn a castle back to sand if I knew how I never knew there could be levels higher than grief but You never lowered me to underneath the ground
10.
only humans 05:52
I’m afraid I’ll forget your face Cruelly, time does erode and erase I can’t help the way my thoughts grow thin But it feels like I’m losing you again And everyone owes 30 more The lives today, the lives before Hesitant to upset/regret/express Just repeat and forget We’re only human, so they say Only humans act this way It’s only human to ignore, We’re only humans in a war
11.
I believe that the rivers will burst forth I believe that the oceans will boil I believe that the sky will turn against us I believe we belong to the soil We will leave our pitiful resources (remorses) And believe our mother will morn But I believe… she will infect us With everything we wanted and more You’re among the haunted The wasted and unwanted Left without a homeland Wandering and a nomad Desperate and so glad For a chance you thought you had Yet… you are left Forsaken and bereft I believe there’s a - nother landing We’ll abandon our ships on the shore We’ll be greeted with open arms, ‘cause They don’t know what’s in store

about

Originally started when I was couch bound after breaking my foot, the intention was to create a trip-hop instrumental summer album, but then Ukraine was invaded and Roe overturned and Uvalde and I also lost about 3 friends to self abuse and gun violence and finally had words come after a dry spell of about a decade.
